Hooray for the Highline

At long last, the High Line is finally open. The park, which spans the west side of lower Manhattan, is built along what used to be rail road tracks. A team of talented designers and architects have been working on the park for a while now, and from the pictures I've seen so far, it looks great. In addition to providing more park space for strolling and sunning—which is always appreciated—it has also led to the development of many restaurants, bars, retail stores, and even a hotel in the surrounding area. Can't wait to check it out this weekend!
