Today, I had my first class with the legendary Bob Gill.
Here are some of the more entertaining quotes from the session, which I found amusing enough to share:
"Here's how this class will work. I'll give you a job. You'll go home and work on the job. You'll come to class and put your work on the board, and I'll destroy it and tell you I hate it. Then, I'll tell you WHY I hate it."
"If you get run over by a car, that's no excuse not to do your job. You should be lying there on the ground thinking about your job!"
"So, what have you guys heard about this class? Did you hear about me? Did you commit a crime? Is that why you're here—you want to be punished?"
"You! (points at me) You're not allowed to speak again until November." - after I answered a question correctly when he apparently wanted us to struggle to get to the answer.
It's going to be an interesting semester.
