PresentPerfect.
Sigh...I'm pretty sure I want just about everything in London paper goods company Present&Correct's online shop. They're the perfect mix of colorful, vintage, and graphic.
[For the record, I could easily own hundreds of notebooks and closets full of organizational/office supplies.]

The Sketchbook Project
The Sketchbook Project looks like a fun idea.
Participants pay $25 to receive a blank Moleskine Cahier sketchbook, which they complete after choosing from a list of themes and send back. The completed sketchbooks will then be exhibited at museums and galleries on a tour around the country. After touring, the sketchbooks will become a part of the permanent collection at the Brooklyn Art Library and will be open to public viewing.
I wish the price were a bit lower (after paying the $25, participants have to pay another $20 to have their work held in the permanent digital collection) so that this felt more like true "public art" by and for the people, but a good idea nonetheless.

Collective Sol
Argentinian artist Sol Linero makes great, retro-inspired motion pieces.

Now I lay me down to sleep...
What do you think about before you fall asleep? This project by Trollbäck + Co. illustrates those thoughts. My favorite was Anna's, pictured below. Though I don't think I think about any of the same things they do.

Mug shot
After some television-induced vegging this weekend, I'm liking the Starbucks VIA commercials.

Megan Feehan
Earlier this week, I went to the AIGA: Fresh Blood event. One of my favorite thesis presentations was by Megan Feehan of the RISD MFA program. She looked at how typography and language intersect and did various experiments examining this intersection.
In one such experiment, she opened a jpeg image in Text Edit and repeatedly changed the code to see how it would impact the image. She then compiled the changed into a flipbook, a video of which can be seen here.
You can also see her other thesis explorations, including an insecure alteration of the Futurist Manifesto and a folded alphabet, along with various other projects, on her website.

She also made a beautiful poster from the results of these alterations. You can also see her other thesis explorations, including an insecure alteration of the Futurist Manifesto and a folded alphabet, along with various other projects, on her website.
Luke Harris
Luke Harris is a recent Yale MFA grad who concentrates on designing motion pieces. I especially like his awareness of rhythm and how music impacts his pieces.

Another presenter at Five Plus Five was Hayley Morris, who works at Curious Pictures with Matt Smithson.
Here are some of the beautiful and amazing stop motion films she showed at the event.

Matt Smithson
The other night, I went to Five Plus Five, an event at the Art Directors Club.
One of the presenters was Matt Smithson, whose work is incredibly awesome. He designed The Girl Effect, which I posted about here a long time ago, but he showed some of his other pieces at the event. My favorite motion piece he showed was (drive to) cut your hand off, which you can view here, but be sure to check out all his other work (including his illustrations) on his website.

Notting Hill
Pretty cool—during recent renovations on the Notting Hill Gate tube station, these mid-century posters were uncovered. Much cooler looking than the bad TV posters that currently line the subway walls.

Speaking of the World Cup, Boston.com posted some beautiful photographs of the preparations for the World Cup in South Africa. Here are some of my favorites.

Nike Write the Future press kits
Wieden + Kennedy commissioned artist Diem Chau for Nike's "Write the Future" campaign press kit. How awesome and detailed are these crayon carvings of soccer players?
