Megan Feehan

Earlier this week, I went to the AIGA: Fresh Blood event. One of my favorite thesis presentations was by Megan Feehan of the RISD MFA program. She looked at how typography and language intersect and did various experiments examining this intersection.

In one such experiment, she opened a jpeg image in Text Edit and repeatedly changed the code to see how it would impact the image. She then compiled the changed into a flipbook, a video of which can be seen here.

Misreadings from Megan Feehan on Vimeo.

She also made a beautiful poster from the results of these alterations.

You can also see her other thesis explorations, including an insecure alteration of the Futurist Manifesto and a folded alphabet, along with various other projects, on her website.
