Sarah Hurwitz

My old friend Sarah Hurwitz is an artist who recently completed her MFA at U of A. We spent many a day in art classes together throughout middle school and high school, listening to Bob Dylan while making charcoal drawings and oil paintings, and we created all sorts of strange things together in our spare time. After sharing so much creative time with one another, it makes me especially happy to see her amazing work and how it has developed throughout the years.

Sarah uses a range of media—from acrylics to crayons, enamel, and polaroids—in her work, and her style reflects this diversity. You can check out her Flickr photostream here, as well as her website here. Finally, if you're in the LA area, check out her work in the group show at Garage Gallery on August 8th.
